Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Had a lovely visit to Corretto by the Canal. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. The Italian breakfast was hearty and satisfying, and the fried chicken & waffle was crispy, flavourful, and indulgently tasty — proper comfort food done well. The cold 3 Locks Brewery beer on tap was excellent — fresh, crisp, and paired perfectly with the dishes. The tiramisu was enjoyable, though slightly less authentic than expected as it wasn’t made with traditional mascarpone cream. Still pleasant, but not quite the classic Italian version. A couple of small inconveniences: the toilet is shared with a nearby restaurant and only one is available, so there can be some waiting during busy periods. Also, the ventilation could be improved, as it felt a bit stuffy at times. Overall, good food, great service, and a nice canal-side setting — still worth a visit."
"The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Our waiter Alessandro went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met, regularly checking in on us and ensuring everything was perfect throughout our visit. The attention to detail and genuine care made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. We felt well looked after from start to finish and would definitely return. The venue is also beautiful!"
"Alexandro was absolutely fabulous service, friendly, charming helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was good soft music in the background, over all quiet but not too quiet. The food was to die for absolutely. Reasonably priced, and dog friendly to! What a bonus. I ordered the Nutella on brioche toast, and my friends got scrambled eggs on sourdough and the salmon. We also got a passion fruit martini, lemonade and a mockcocktail. Absolutely loved it here and would really recommend it. I know that I will definitely be coming here again! Sheele and Philippe was also amazing."
"The place is beautiful with a wonderful view on the canal, however the food is not exceptional. The knives don't cut, which isn't very practical when ordering a bread-based dish. The staff is very friendly !"
"The food was simply gorgeous and our server, Victoria, was so warm and welcoming. The view on the canal and cozy atmosphere was divine. We had Eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce on focaccia, and avocado and salmon toast. We then shared a French toast that was to die for. We will definitely come back again!"
"Absolutely beautiful modern Italian restaurant with stunning canal views, high ceilings and airy with a gorgeous coffee and patisserie counter. Staff are superb, extremely friendly and swift. We had the Chicken Caesar salad, Truffle and mushroom parpadelle, Aubergine parmigiana and truffle fries. Cheesecake and a pistachio canoli for dessert. All good was excellent except the Aubergine parmigiana where the aubergines were hard. We told them and they were very apologetic. The pasta was incredible, huge portion and lots of mushrooms. They do a lovely homemade lemonade and people around us were enjoying cocktails."
"Fantastic space located next to the canal near Camden Locks. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Very light and airy with large windows offering views of the canal and lock. Only slight criticism is the toilet situation as you have to go outside and use the single toilet of a neighbouring microbrewery."
"Corrento by the Canal has a really lovely setting, with beautiful waterside views. Unfortunately it was raining when we visited, so we didn’t quite get the full effect, but you can tell it would be gorgeous on a dry day. We ordered the frittatas, which were fine but a little understated and slightly too oily for our taste. On the other hand, the truffle fries were excellent — crispy, flavourful, and definitely a highlight. The Italian hot chocolate was absolutely divine: rich, indulgent, and worth coming back for alone. The staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable overall. A nice spot for a casual brunch, especially when the weather’s on your side."
